December 20-22

On Saturday, December 20th, we went to a Christmas party at Grandmama's and Grandpapa's. It was so much fun getting Grace dressed up and seeing her interact with her extended family!

Are you hiding Aunt Kay?!!!

"I LOVE Haley's hair!"

Do we have a country girl?? She really loved playing with Layton's tractor. Nothing runs like a Deere!!

BB sticking his tongue out at the camera! This really captures his fun side!

Playing is such hard work with the new toy that Mr. David and Ms. Rudy gave her!

On Sunday, December 21st, we spent the day celebrating Christmas with the Moore and Chatham families. We had lunch at Trey, Kim, Avery, and Layton's. They are living in Grandma and Paw Paw's house. It was nice to have Christmas back in the "homeplace". They recently completed lots of renovations/updates, and it looks great! We had a yummy lunch of salad, bread, and lasagna. Here are some pictures of Grace opening presents and spending time with mini cousins Avery (who will be 3 in February '09) and Layton (who was 18 months in December). Grace also spent some time checking out the deer heads...her first exposure to game. By the look on her face we don't think she'll be trading in her plaid skirt for camo anytime soon!

We left the Moore gathering to go next door to Grandma and B.B.'s for the Chatham gathering! Grace had so much fun with her mini cousins Jenna and Lauryn. Of course the whole family makes over her, too, which makes for a happy baby! She did have a dirty diaper incident, so she wore a "Baby's First Christmas" outfit for opening presents!

A Very Merry Christmas

We have had a wonderful Christmas, filled with lots of activity! Grace really enjoyed the hustle and bustle of her First Christmas! On Sunday, December 14 we had our Christmas party. We weren't sure how it would go this year with our newest family member, but it went great! I enjoyed preparing the food and we had a great time with our family and friends. Grace liked being passed around and being made over!

Here are a few pictures from around the party. Thanks, Chris for being our photographer!!

"I love it!!!"

The party was fun...but boy are we tired. It's nice to sit down with a cup of cider.

"Get to the dishes Grandpapa!" He looks like an dish washing pro, doesn't he?

"Okay, here's a little help."

"Well, someone has to watch Grace!!"
