A big girl!

We went out to dinner Friday night at Basil's. It was yummy! Grace is used to sitting in her high chair at home, but hasn't sat it a high chair in a restaurant yet. Well, she did Friday night! She was very inquisitive, but did a fantastic job! We got to eat our whole meal with her occupied in the high chair. She looked so cute in it!

'Tis the season!

Our last Kindermusik session was last Tuesday. Grace was all smiles getting ready for it! Let's go!
We will start up again in February, but we'll have a new teacher. We've really enjoyed our classes and our teacher, Ms. Nushia. Grandmama went with us, so we got some great pictures.

Grace really enjoys playing with her toys now. She also LOVES to be carried on walks through the house. We really get our exercise! Grace played so hard one day that she wore Grandpapa out. He really needed a rest. Awww! How cute!

What a busy time of year! We have enjoyed attending Christmas plays and parties this year. We love dressing Grace in lots of red and green, too! Last Wednesday night we enjoyed attending the dinner theatre at our church. What a great night at Uncle Phil's Diner! Grace may even be able to have a part next year...Yeah! Here are a few pictures from the night:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Today was the first Sunday in December, so Grace got to where her first Christmas dress to church. Once we got home, we took some pictures of her in front of some of our Christmas decorations at home. She likes to look at the tree and took a decoration off of it!
Grace looks so big in front of the tree, doesn't she?

Greg and Grace posing in front of the village.

Grace loves to look into the mirror and see "the pretty girl."

Onto the dining room to pose for a picture by the gold, silver, and purple Christmas tree.

We added a 5th tree this year so that we could have one in Grace's room. She really enjoys seeing the sparkle and playing with her Christmas bear!

Cookie Exchange

On Saturday I went to a Brunch and Cookie Exchange at my mom and dad's house that they held for some of their church friends. Here's a few pictures from the festivities. We had a great time of wonderful food and fellowship. We came home with 3 dozen cookies, a gingerbread cookie cutter favor, and a recipe book containing all of the yummy cookie recipes.

Mom did a lot of cooking and preparing for the event, but Daddy was always there to lend a helping hand...and parchment paper!

Mom had cute boxes for us to keep the cookies in. However, Avery found a much more precious use of the box! This photo just screams Christmas card!

Grace and Greg were supposed to have come with me, but were unable to come due to Grace still feeling under the weather:=( While they missed out on the fun, Greg still got to enjoy some cookies. Sorry, Grace, you have to wait 'til next year!

Grace's first ear infection

Poor baby. Grace went to the doctor yesterday for her flu shot(and to get some dry patches on her leg and cradle cap examined) when the doctor said her left ear was infected. Her nose was also very runny, which is part of the ear infection. Grace had a very difficult time resting Tuesday night, but did much better on Wednesday night and did great with Grammy on Wednesday. She hasn't had a fever, which he said she didn't have to! We thought the occassional differences in her daily patterns were due to cutting teeth, as another tooth broke through the skin Wednesday evening. So, she's had a triple whammy of teething, a flu shot, and an ear infection. She's had some fussy periods today, but is sleeping and eating better today. It appears that she's on the mend!

With thankful hearts

We have had a fun-filled week, packed with travel, family, and great food! To prepare for our trip Mommy and Daddy needed a little extra help, so Grace had to lend a hand. She helped me to fold laundry.

I packed up her toy bag, but she had to carry it!

Grace looked precious in her turkey outfit. It says "thankful for Mommy", but I kept telling her how thankful we were for her! Greg got this outfit for her last year when we were on vacation in Pigeon Forge when we were just 7 weeks pregnant. She wears it well!

Once arriving at Grandmama's and Grandpapa's in Fuquay on Wednesday night, she got a present from her Grandpapa. He wears a hat when he visits her and she always takes it off of his head and enjoys wearing it...so he got her a cap that's just her size!

Grace had a wonderful first Thanksgiving. She got to play with her "mini cousins" Avery, Layton, Lauryn, and Jenna. Here's a picture of her playing the piano with Avery (almost 3) and having a stare down with Layton (almost 18 months)!

She also had fun playing with a friend, Avery, who's just 6 weeks older than Grace.

On Thanksgiving Day we went to see Great Grandma Moore. She was enjoying her turkey feast, but was very excited to see baby Grace...so were many of the other residents at Oak Hill. Grace really brightened their day! We also got to see Aunt Edith and got to wish her a Happy Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving lunch we ate at Grandma and BB's and then headed to Jamesville for dinner. Grace enjoyed spending time with her relatives and posed for pictures with Uncle Chris, Amy, and Angela.
"Uh-oh. I was caught gobbling turkey!"

Aunt Maudie Jean fed her a bottle.

She loved playing on her pallet on the floor with Grammy.

Here's a glimpse at her Thanksgiving dress that she wore on Thanksgiving Day. I love making her clothes!
